Pupils who pick Geography in S3 study a range of topics to discover the geographical world in all its beauty. Topics focus on 6 questions

The new world superpower? - India
How Will Pupils Be Learning?
Pupils will learn in a variety of ways, including fieldtrips which allow them to see topics studied in real life contexts. Pupils will be encouraged to give detailed answers, to be creative, to feel challenged and to have fun. There is a mixture of independent study, group tasks and presentations which will help pupils develop a number of important skills for learning, life and work, such as communication and teamworking.
How Will Pupils Be Assessed?
Progress will be monitored throughout and will take the form of formal written assessments, peer and self-assessments, presentations and creative writing tasks. Homework will be issued on a regular basis to extend learning beyond the classroom and enhance the activities that are completed in school.
What is Expected of Pupils?
Pupils are expected to complete regular homework tasks, contribute to the positive environment in class, be inquisitive and willing to learn.
